Honors
Dr. Bosanko received a B.S. degree in 2000 from the University of South Dakota with a B.S. in Biology with Chemistry and Mathematics as minors. He received his optometric degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2004. He completed external rotations in Lakewood, CO where he studied pediatrics/binocular vision; Olympia Fields, IL where he completed an advanced care rotation; West Side VA Hospital in Chicago, IL where he completed a primary care rotation; and the Illinois College of Optometry where he completed a low vision/contact lens rotation. Dr. Bosanko also completed a Ocular Disease/Low Vision rehabilitation residency at the Jesse Brown VA Hospital in Chicago. He continues to stay abreast of breakthroughs in eyecare in the diagnosis and treatments of eye conditions by attending the yearly American Academy of Optometry meeting where he has become a Fellow. He also serves as an Examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry throughout the nation.
Dr. Bosanko likes to make it back to South Dakota for his annual pheasant hunt in October, golf as much as he can and tell his son Kayne and daughter Vadyn how dominant the ’85 Chicago Bears were. He and his wife Dawn reside in Crossville, TN.
