
| Larry E. Patterson, M.D., appointed new Chief Medical Editor of Ophthalmology Management CROSSVILLE, TN — July 12, 2007. Larry E. Patterson, M.D, medical director of the Eye Centers of Tennessee, has been named chief medical editor for Ophthalmology Management, a leading trade magazine for the ophthalmic industry. Dr. Patterson has served on the editorial advisory board for Ophthalmology Management since 2003 and has contributed a number of articles to the publication, as well as a 12-month series on ambulatory surgical center (ASC) management, along with his practice administrator, Ray Mays. Dr. Patterson is a leader in cataract and refractive surgery, and his surgery center in Crossville is a state-of-the-art facility that provides a number of services to patients, including comprehensive ophthalmic and optometric care. In his new role with Ophthalmology Management, he will oversee the direction of the magazine’s content and will work with the editorial staff to ensure quality and timely coverage of topics pertinent to his specialty. “We are looking forward to working with Dr. Patterson,” says Rachel Renshaw, the magazine’s executive editor. “His prominent position in the ophthalmic community will open many doors for us. More importantly, Dr. Patterson’s experience and track record of service to his patients fit perfectly with our publication’s focus: building a strong medical practice.” Dr. Patterson will replace Paul S. Koch, M.D., in his role as chief medical editor. Dr. Koch has held the position for 5 years and has stepped down due to health reasons, and will continue his association with Ophthalmology Management as editor emeritus.
