Larry Patterson, M.D. was elected to serve as President in the Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society (OOSS).

The Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society provides education, information, and advocacy with government agencies for members and their ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs); and helps ASC owners and ophthalmic surgeons to provide high quality, cost-effective surgical care.

Dr. Patterson had served on the Board of Directors for OOSS for five years, and for the past two years has chaired the National ASC Symposium, attracting physicians and senior staff to the only meeting exclusively representing the ophthalmic ASC.  Before being elected as President, Dr. Patterson served a short term as Vice President. 

Dr. Patterson is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmologists and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
